CRAIG BURTON - DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT

Craig Burton has been serving the Eastern Ontario District as Superintendent since May of 2005. He and his wife Wendy have three children, Laura, Scott and Emily; they make their home in Whitby, Ontario.

Craig graduated from Trent University in Peterborough in 1984 and then worked for both the Canada Permanent Trust Company and Canada Trust. Later, Craig pursued ministerial studies and he graduated from Eastern Pentecostal Bible College in 1989. He served as a Youth and Assistant Pastor at Richmond Hill Pentecostal Church (1987-1991); Young Adults, Outreach and then Church Administrator at Agincourt Pentecostal Church (1991-1995); then Senior / Lead Pastor at Malvern Christian Assembly for ten years (1995-2005).

Craig has a desire to see ministers, churches and related ministries across Eastern Ontario strengthened and encouraged. He is committed to establishing strong and meaningful relationships among credential holders and churches. He believes that the shared values of our cooperative fellowship provide significant prospects for Kingdom purpose and advancement in these days of tremendous opportunity.

CAL ANTHONY - ASSISTANT TO THE SUPERINTENDENT - MINISTRY

Cal Anthony was born and raised in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. He and his wife June have 3 children and are grandparents of 6 charming grandchildren.

Cal graduated from Eastern Pentecostal Bible College in 1972. A short time after graduating, he acquired a position at the PAON office and worked in the printing department and itinerated on weekends. After a year with the PAON office, Cal received a call to ministry in Brig Bay, NL and was the Senior Pastor for 2 years. Following his time in Brig Bay, Cal ministered in various congregations over the years in Lushes Bight, Triton, St. John’s, Gander and Labrador City.

Cal relocated to Ontario after receiving a call to minister as the Senior Pastor at Evangel Temple in Napanee. He concluded his tenure there after 10 years of ministry in 2001.

In late 2001, Cal joined the ministry team at the Eastern Ontario District where he faithfully serves as the Assistant to the Superintendent – Ministry. Cal has a pastoral heart and is passionate about missions and seeing lives changed through the power of the gospel.

In his spare time, Cal enjoys gardening, reading and fishing.

DAVID BLAKELY - ASSISTANT TO THE SUPERINTENDENT - RESOURCES

David Blakely comes from Moncton, New Brunswick and is the son of a firefighter. David has been in Pastoral Ministry since 1979. He and his wife Kathy began in the PAOC as Assistant Pastors in Kathy’s home town of Truro, Nova Scotia immediately after completing their Bible College years at Eastern Pentecostal Bible College. There they worked on staff with Harold and Yvonne Reid.

After two years in Truro, they moved with the Reids to Kingston Gospel Temple in Kingston, Ontario for another four years of assistant ministry.

The small town of Cobden, located in the Ottawa Valley was the next stop for David and Kathy where they would stay for thirteen years seeing the congregation grow and overseeing the construction of a new church building.

The Blakely family then moved into the Ottawa area to pastor Bethel Pentecostal Church in October of 1997.

After the 2009 District Conference, David assumed the position of Assistant to the Superintendent - Resources.

With a strong conviction as to the importance of the local church, David is committed to his calling to care for people, communicate the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ and to encourage the fresh and empowering presence of the Holy Spirit.

Kathy Blakely has shown a love for music her entire life; she plays and teaches piano. Her passion is for outreach and she loves opening doors into the community through big events.

David and Kathy have two adult children, Matt and Melanie, who live in the Ottawa area with their families.

DAN SMITH - ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Dan spent the first 15 years of his life in Brantford, ON. Following his time in Brantford, his family re-located to Centreville, NB. In 1986, Dan graduated from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, NB with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

In 1991, Dan joined the staff at the Eastern Ontario District as the Accounting Assistant, and later became the District Accountant. In 2005, he left EOD to join the staff at Calvary Pentecostal Church in Peterborough, where he served as the Accounting Manager for 4.5 years. In October 2009, he returned to the Eastern Ontario District and now serves as the Accounting Manager.

Dan is married to Shelly and together they have two sons, Myles and Luke.

GENINNE BRIDGE - DISTRICT YOUTH DIRECTOR

Geninne came to us from Pickering Pentecostal Church where served as Student Ministries Pastor. She is a capable servant leader who is gifted at balancing multiple tasks. She has strong interpersonal, media and creative arts skills and brings experience from a variety of ministry settings. She is also fluently bilingual.

Geninne is an effective member of the District Ministry as she shares our passion to serve, support and care for pastors, leaders, churches and related ministries across EOD.
